Get into the Christmas spirit at the Netherlands’ most beautiful Christmas market. From 7 December to 23 December at Lange Voorhout in The Hague. The Christmas market is free to enter and open every day from noon to 9pm.
With all kinds of lovely Christmas cabins, thousands of LED lights, cosy fires, mulled wine, and a nearly daily visit from the one and only Santa Claus, this 16-day Christmas market has been enthralling visitors for years. The special programme with Christmas choirs, storytellers, activities for the little ones, and musical performances adds to the great atmosphere at this Christmas market that really makes it worth a visit!

Looking for a fun show full of entertainment? Every year from 23 December to 7 January, the Great Christmas Circus puts on a dazzling show at The Hague’s Malieveld. This year, the circus presents an all-new show with circus stars from all over the world.
Prepare for over two hours of fun for the whole family, filled with sensational acrobatics, romance, and comedy.
Here at Carlton Beach, we love Christmas decorations. From early December, our restaurant is decked out with atmospheric lighting and Christmas trees.
And the decorations outside are also ON. The street is delightfully decorated with festive lighting. Both along the boulevard and at Kurhausplein, you will find various December activities, including a lovely ice-skating rink.
What better way to start the new year than to take a refreshing dive into the North Sea? Are you up for it? A good start to 2024. The traditional New Year’s Dive is held every year at Scheveningen beach on 1 January. The starting point for the New Year’s Dive is not even 5 minutes on foot from Carlton Beach. Close to the Scheveningen pier and right in front of the famous Kurhaus.
In the past years, nearly 10,000 people took part in the New Year’s Dive in Scheveningen. Registration opens at 10.30am, there is a collective warm-up at 11.45am, and everyone runs into the sea at noon. Will you take part this year?
